SPORT AND ACTIVE LEARNING
A FOCUS ON MOVEMENT, TEAMWORK AND SKILLS
AT ST. MICHAEL’S
St. Michael’s Primary School believes that active learning is not only good for physical health, it is also essential for positive wellbeing and provides children with the opportunity to explore various skills.
Each class participates in Physical Education lessons once a week delivered by a P.E. specialist.
These may include:
• Footsteps Dance
• Netball Clinics with Vixens Netball Team
• Football Clinics with North Melbourne Football Team
• Excursions with City of Melbourne Park Rangers
St. Michael's students participate in school sports and inter-school sport programs throughout the year.
Our four house colours are: Red, Green, Gold and Blue House - each team has a Captain and Vice Captain whose role it is to lead the teams and develop good leadership skills by setting an example for younger students.
